1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using PlotBunny, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. These terms apply to all users of PlotBunny.

2. Description of Service

PlotBunny is a reading tracker that lets you log books, write reviews, track your reading progress, and connect with other readers through a social feed and book clubs. The service is provided free of charge. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time with reasonable notice where possible.

3. Your Account

  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
  • One person may not maintain multiple accounts to circumvent suspensions or abuse the service
  • You must provide accurate information when registering

4. User Content

You retain ownership of content you create on PlotBunny (reviews, bios, club descriptions). By posting content, you grant PlotBunny a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and store that content as part of operating the service.

You are solely responsible for your content. You represent that you have the right to post any content you submit and that it does not violate anyone else's rights.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Post content that is illegal, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or hateful
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Post spam, unsolicited advertising, or promotional content
  • Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the service
  • Use the service to violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Post content that infringes the intellectual property rights of others

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.

6. Book Data

Book information (titles, authors, descriptions, cover images) is sourced from the Google Books API and is subject to Google Books API Terms of Service. This data is provided for your personal use and may not be redistributed or used commercially.

7. Privacy

Your use of PlotBunny is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

PlotBunny is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will not be lost. You use the service at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PlotBunny and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service, including loss of data or content.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the site. Continued use of PlotBunny after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
